Manpower: Nelson's project team of employees and subcontractors can provide over 200 project personnel of a variety of construction skills from various parts of the United States within 72 hours of contract award and over 1,000 people within seven days of contract award.  Our business model is to subcontract much of our workload to the local population to help revitalize the region and its economy. Our combined past experience has shown that we have been successful by coordinating with local subcontractors that are known for their quality and reliability.

Equipment:  Nelson has the knowledge and experience of lessons-learned to understand required equipment needed for this work. As such, we have made the capital investment to augment our inventory with the necessary excavators of all sizes, dump trucks, backhoes, man-lifts, dirt loaders, bulldozers of all sizes, sewer cleaning equipment, sewer video camera equipment, field power tools, vehicles and trailers to implement a project of the magnitude needed for any effort.

Fuel:  Nelson has retained the services of a regional fuel company to deliver a 5000-gallon tanker truck of gasoline to the site on a daily basis, as needed.

Communication/IT Equipment:  Nelson uses Nextel 2 way radios and phones to perform communication for our work. In addition, Nelson has successfully used networked laptop computers to manage data and perform project administration on a real-time basis for projects.  Nelson is also capable to provide a dedicated IT site for all information pertaining to and generated from this project.

Subcontractor Management: Nelson plans to assemble an experienced subcontractor team with an emphasis on local and minority contractors. Additionally, we intend to use a protege-mentoring program with many of these local subcontractors in order to help grow these businesses, help them to provide jobs to locals and help revive the economy. Our experience and operational algorithms have proven our ability to add additional management, field labor, project safety, quality assurance/quality control personnel, and equipment as necessary to successfully perform projects and adapt to expanding workload requirements.

It is Nelson's policy to tailor each project with its unique Site Safety and Health Plan (SSHP). The SSHP (with a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan) is prepared and approved by our operations division prior to beginning work at any site.  Each SSHP also includes Health and Safety Checklists to identify site-specific concerns. Contactors would be required to submit their safety programs to be reviewed for compliance with these guidelines

Nelson's Quality Assurance/Quality Control program has been developed to meet stringent Government requirements.
